Q: What do you get when you mix committed change-makers, a world-class graduate school and a city of 7 million?
A: The Milano Grad School Blog of course!
In 2008, three incoming students at Milano came together as we began our first year in our respective programs after being selected by Idealist.org to contribute to their graduate school blog project. Tushar Gogia (NPM ’10) and Laura S. McElherne (NPM ’10) have graduated, and in Fall 2010 our team of four continues to chronicle our respective experiences as burgeoning change-makers in New York. For each of us, our grad school journey has included a mixed bag of emotions and experiences. We have all been excited about our continuing adventures and thrilled that you’ll be joining us for the ride (or at least some parts of it).
Now that Milano and The New School’s Graduate Program in International Affairs (GPIA) are joining forces as a new division, our four contributors come from all of our programs: GPIA, Nonprofit Management, Organizational Change Management, and Urban Policy Analysis and Management.
As our third academic year begins, you can read back into the archives to “meet” us from our first days on this blog–and graduate school. Thanks for sharing this experience with us!
Our individual profiles can be found under The Bloggers page. We try to post at least twice a week from September through May, so please keep stopping by.
Hey Guys,
This is a great idea! Keep up the good work. Maybe someone might want to bring back the Milano forum (milanotalk.com) in the future?
Best,
Hendrick
Wow, I just stumbled upon this and as an entering Milano grad student its VERY nice to be able to browse! It’s helpful to read what classes made you chew your pencils in half and which you found really interesting. I was also glad to read that Laura found the Quantitative class focused and not too difficult to work with.
Thanks guys!
It seems this hasn’t been picked up! Is there any chance you can hand it off to current Milano students?
Eman, which program are you with?
